'Brindaavanam' DVD @ Vijayawada Raithu Bazar

Whenever we see the film folks urging not to buy piracy DVDs or VCDs, we must remember that there is a lot of pains behind it. The entire process of film making is like a penance so it is hard to digest that crores worth movies are being sold for peanuts and that too on the roads.

A source from Vijayawada revealed that the famous Bandar road has got a Raithu bazaar and a walk inside the bazaar gave a shocking revelation. Besides vegetables, there was another basket containing DVDs. There were DVD copies of Brindaavanam, Khaleja, Puli, Robo.

The DVDs were being sold at Rs 25-30 each. So for the price of half kilo brinjals, one can get these big budget flicks. Are the authorities sleeping? No one cares about the woes of the movie makers.

Even those who travel by Satavahana express from Vijayawada say how piracy dvds are sold in lots. Vendors come and rush on to the platform carrying a basket full of CDs. They sell piracy CDs at Rs 20/- as well. What are the railway police doing? This is truly shameful and painful!!
